Flight Level Aviation Full-Motion Simulator Training / Cessna 210 T210 P210 Training

The office of Flight Level Aviation and our full-motion advanced avionics simulator are located on the field of Greene County Airport in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania (KWAY).   The office is on the east side of the airport and is physically attached to the large Strope's Aircraft Maintenance hangar.  The simulator office is fully heated and air conditioned and thus remains comfortable for training all year round.

Waynesburg is in Southwest Pennsylvania close to the Ohio and West Virginia borders. The closest airports with commercial service are Pittsburgh International (KPIT) and Morgantown, West Virginia (MGW).

Address:  Flight Level Aviation's mailing address is 60 Stockton Avenue, Uniontown, PA  15401.  Flight Level Aviation's physical address and simulator location is Greene County Airport, 421 East Roy Furman Highway (Route 21), Waynesburg, PA  15370.

Driving:  Greene County Airport is located on Route 21 less than a mile east of the Route 21 exit (Exit 14) on Interstate 79.  (From Greater Pittsburgh Airport, when exiting the airport follow signs to Route 60 South and then I-79 South and take I-79 Exit 14.)

General Aviation: Flight Level Aviation bases its Cessna P210 at KWAY since this airport has an excellent independent maintenance facility on the field – Strope’s Aircraft Maintenance. Since KWAY is not served by a published instrument approach procedure, Flight Level Aviation is glad to provide free transportation for pilots who fly in for flight training or simulator use and choose to land at Morgantown,WV (KMGW) or Connellsville, PA (KVVS). Just call (724) 880-2948 or (724) 430-5319 to arrange transportation.  (Efforts are underway to develop an instrument approach to KWAY -- we hope this will occur shortly!)  Click Here for a VFR sectional with KWAY's location.

Commercial Airlines:    When driving from Greater Pittsburgh Airport (KPIT), after exiting the airport follow signs to Route 60 South and then I-79 South and take I-79 Exit 14 (Route 21/Waynesburg).  Go east 1/2 mile to Comfort Inn and another 1/2 mile to KWAY airport.

International Pilots:  For pilots arriving on commercial international flights, Pittsburgh International (KPIT) is the most convenient destination.   By special request, for international pilots wishing to combine flight training with travel around the U.S., Richard can provide flight training in N102KY in the Washington, D.C. area at Leesburg, VA airport (KJYO) for an additional fee of $250 per day.

For pilots flying in for multiple-day flight instruction, Richard or his staff are glad to pick you up and drop you off most weekdays at a nearby hotel.   For those who arrive in the evening or on weekends, inexpensive taxi service is also available in Waynesburg or often John Strope at Strope's Aircraft Maintenance can drop you off at a local hotel or loan you a courtesy car.     Rental cars are available during business hours at Morgantown airport (KMGW) or with advance notice at KWAY from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The following local contact phone numbers may be helpful:

If you need transportation from Waynesburg airport to the Comfort Inn, this may be arranged by calling the manager in advance and advising him you are flying in to train with Flight Level Aviation -- his contact info is Jarrod Richter (724) 627-3700.

For pilots who wish to combine flight training with a family trip to scenic Western Pennsylvania, there are two fly-in resort options.  Nemacolin Woodlands (www.nemacolin.com) is a 5-star resort with a spa and PGA-class golf course which has a 4,000-foot VFR-only private runway which is open to resort guests.  Seven Springs (www.7springs.com) is a ski resort with a 3,000-foot public airport and VOR instrument approach.  Richard can meet you at either resort to begin training weather-permitting; please note both landing sites often close in the winter, although the resorts are open year-round.
